Fetiblue Band
Turkish blues, guitar first. Fetiblue Band grew around Feti Çağlayan, one of the most respected guitarists and vocalists on Turkey’s blues and rock scene — a project he shaped over years until it became a band.
Their debut album, “Kuş Ekmeği” (2018, Linn Records), gathers ten tracks written and composed by Fetiblue, arranged by Feti Çağlayan and Cem Tuncer, with guests from Turkey’s blues, rock and jazz circles. On bass — Çağlayan Yıldız, playing his own signature instrument.
Live, they sound exactly like blues should when it’s played for real: thick riffs, improvisation in the moment, and a rhythm section you feel in your chest. Over it all, an Anatolian edge that sets them apart — melodies that come from somewhere other than the Mississippi Delta, yet sit perfectly over twelve bars.
A blues set with a Turkish accent, at Arena Națională.
