Prepared for the first time in the imperial kitchen of the Topkapı palace, the recipe of the famous Turkish dessert has survived to the present day, going beyond the borders of the Ottoman Empire and conquering Europe, with its rich flavors and ingredients: the thin sheets melting into the velvety butter, the rich flavor of the walnut kernel combined with the refinement of pistachios, all enhanced by the fragrant honey.
